Manjha, is an abrasive glass coated kite line, used for kite fighting, which is made of lugdi(solid mix of rice glue, glass powder and colour) applied to cotton thread.
Manjha making is considered an art in itself,the most sought after manjha being manufactured in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh in India.Craftsmen from Uttar Pradesh migrate towards Gujarat and Rajasthan a month before Uttarayan to source their income through the flying lines, which has a higher consumer market in these states.
